What should companies that outsource do to prevent credit card fraud?

The Indian BPO industry was briefly under a cloud when a popular television channel recently claimed that an industry insider had sold “confidential financial information” of British customers. This was a repeat of an earlier incident; a few years back, a famous British tabloid maintained that its journalist had obtained account numbers, bank card details, secret passwords and other personal details of 1,000 British bank customers by paying $5,000 to an employee of an Indian BPO company. Though this seemed like an induced crime, and therefore could have happened anywhere in the world but we will leave that discussion for a later date...
